Review: Wow, I'm not sure that any review could do this book, or series of books, justice. The journey is long, the characters are rich, and the rewards are great. I'll be thinking about this one for a long, long time. Put the Dark Tower series on your list of things to do before you die. It's worth it.

Review: This is one of the most incredible books I've read. This book takes us deep into the minds and hearts of the main characters and shows us life from two perspectives; a husband and wife. The book lets us peer into a complicated yet very strong love between two people. But we also get to learn about their family, friends, and children. This is a must read!!

Review: This book tells the story of three friends. It spans nearly 20 years and every human emotion. The story is wonderfully tragic, but also inspiring. The main character, Connor Ford, is a photographer from Montana. Much of the landscape of this book is where I grew up. There are also chapters set in Africa and Bosnia. The book inspired me to study the history of Rwanda and the genocide that took place in 1994. There is just too much to say about this book. Read it.

Review: This book had me staying up late turning pages as fast as I could read them. I finished the book in just over 10 days. It's facinating. I was swept away by the story, enticed by the history, and scared to death by the underwater dangers. It's also a story of two men trying to find themselves. Read this book!!

Review: My favorite in the Dark Tower series so far. This is a sweeping tale of good and evil, love versus hate, and the innocence of the young lost. This book transports us back to the beginning of Roland's quest for the tower. He is sent to Mejis for safekeeping but uncovers a huge plot by The Good Man. We also meet Susan Delgado who is referenced in previous books. We also get to know Alain and Cuthbert, Roland's childhood Ka-tet.

Review: I really enjoyed reading this book, not because it's well written, but because it make you think about war and society in a new way. Chris Hedges makes some disturbing but insightful observations about war, the myth of glory, and the addiction it can become. I found his writing to be bloated and redundant, but if you can get past that it's well worth the effort. Great book, bad editor.

| Review: This is a book about a guy name Quoyle. He's been pretty much a loser his whole life. When his two-timing wife is killed in an accident he takes his two daughters and moves to his ancestral home on the Newfoundland coast. | Review: A good book that could have been great. This book starts out very strong but loses its way toward the end. This is the story of Cal, a hermaphrodite, and her family. The book is filled with wonderful passages and great prose. But toward the end I felt that the story fell apart. The central character, Desdemona, is put in bed for a few hundred pages and then suddenly brought back to life in the last 10 pages. I was sad to see such a great book fall apart. But it's still worth reading. It tries to deal with the question, "Who am I?" and does an OK job of it. |

Review: Diane bought this book for me because she knows how much I enjoy listening to Garrison Keillor's radio show. It's a story of a young boy who's convinced he's going to hell for his evil thoughts about girls. The young boy, Gary, has a summer of living and learning. We see Gary grow out of his younger habits and into a young teenager. The book was pretty good but I was dissapointed with the last 3rd of the book. It seems that Keillor was just trying to squeeze to much growth and learning into too short of a period. And the book ends on a sad note, almost without hope. One of the books best characters, Kate, is given no future at all. The humor in the book was great, but the ending makes me give it a lower rating. |

Review: This was an OK book. It was something to read while I was resting in Paris, but nothing that will change your way of thinking or teach you anything. It was a mildly interesting story with flat characters. It's the perfect book to kill time.

Review: This book was nothing special. It was interesting to read, had some fun parts, but in the end it was not life changing. This book couldn't decide if it was a romance novel or action thriller. It was predictable. Skip it.

Review: This Book was a fun and easy to read book. No great insights, no dramatic ending, just something fun to read. It's an interesting story, but nothing amazing. This is a good book to read on a flight.

Review: I just finished The Bourne Identity and had to buy this book. I got it because the Bourne Identity has a "to be continued..." ending. My advise, don't buy this book. It's OK, but it gets to be a bit tiring after awhile. It just goes on, and on, and on...

Review: This book is pretty funny at the beginning, but it gets a little repetitive as you go on, sort of like Seinfeld, um, I mean Nancy, is unable to come up with new ideas. But it's still fun to read.

Review: This is a fast paced book set in the post cold war era. Russia is trying to get her act together, but some hardliners are waging a secret war. This is the kind of book you can take on a plane. It's not life changing, but fun to read.

Review: What a dissapointment. This book could have been good, but it was just overdone. It was cheezy and totally unrealistic. What a bummer - False Memory was so good!

Review: I tried, really tried, to read this book. Ugh, what a snoozer. Maybe when I'm older I'll be able to stay awake while I read this book. He uses language simply to make himself sound intelligent, and in the process he puts his reader to sleep. Pass on this one.

Review: OK, I tried and tried to read this book. But I just found it miserable. I'll try again in a few years, but for now I just can't spend my time trying to figure out why people love this book. It's just a mess.
